Litigation is a time-consuming and expensive process. This webinar will focus on mediation which is fast becoming the preferred alternative process to resolve assessment and valuation disputes.

Traditional litigation processes may take many years to reach a resolution, a time-consuming and expensive process for all parties. Increasingly, parties are turning to alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes to resolve valuation and property tax disputes. Mediation, a form of ADR, is a voluntary, confidential, efficient and cost-effective process in which a neutral third party (the mediator) provides assistance to the parties in identifying the key issues which are in dispute, discussing options for ways in which they may be resolved, and seeking a timely resolution to the valuation dispute. Mediation improves communication and enables parties to control the process of reaching a mutually-acceptable outcome.
